Our History

PD2X was founded in 2021 by Clive Minihan and Andrew Halliday and now comprises a team of 15.

Two previous collaborations between Clive and Andrew are the backstory to PD2X. The first involved the IT entrepreneurs in the creation of a groundbreaking software solution, designed and licensed for use by the NHS (2012-16).  This assisted with remote data collection, pathway triage, results analysis and diagnosis.

The second involved the devising of a Covid-19-specific software response, launched and operated during the pandemic (2020-21).  This was used by two of the top three high street pharmacy chains, some leading employers and most of the UK’s UKAS-accredited laboratories, managing the processing of over 2.5 million tests.

PDX our history

One Health-focused business plan

Following the foundation of PD2X, Clive and Andrew began to further develop their One Health-focused business plan, exploring other avenues for their third-generation sophisticated software solutions within a global market.

In December 2021, they formed VetDX, partnering with experts from RAFT Solutions – a Yorkshire-based veterinary business with UK-wide reach and international business relationships.  This will enable PD2X to take the benefits of its software to the heart of veterinary and farming communities worldwide, deploying its agile, cloud-based SaaS platform in the precision medicine veterinary space.

The acquisition of PinPoint Travel, in September 2022, has created the foundation for Pinpoint Travel Health, through which PD2X software solutions will be delivered to the travel health market.

Further new products and solutions are ready for launch in Q1 and Q2 2023, to demonstrate how PD2X’s approach to software, within its chosen specialist niches, can deliver tangible advances in healthcare and animal health and welfare provision.

PD2X’s future will be an exciting one, as it challenges the way in which certain processes have been handled in the past and encourages the pharmaceutical and veterinary sectors to fully explore the directions to which we can be signposted by data.

What our clients say

Using the Recova portal has transformed the time and potential mistakes in transcribing test details; we simply check samples in using a barcode scanner and upload the results from our Laboratory Information Management System once processing is complete. Without Recova we could not have successfully scaled our operations

We are now able to offer a new service to our customers, allowing them to receive test results for a wide range of conditions, with three days of testing.

We trialled the technology at a small event and it made a remarkable difference to our speed and efficiency,” Alistair Graham, CEO Dependable Forces Limited.

In our work we perform testing at corporate gatherings and the app makes the process run a lot more smoothly,” Iain Campbell, Managing Director Wren Healthcare.
